Fog Lights

Does anybody know the State regulations on fog lights on the front of a fishing boat. In the wee hours of morning when i know i should be sleeping it would be nice to have some lights to project out so i can see if there is any floating objects.

Except in Very Tight Quarters, the Last thing you want is White Lights.....
