What exaclty does fogging an engine mean with respect to winterizing your boat?

It's just putting a coating of oil on the combustion chambers (valves, cylinder walls, rings,) too keep them protected during long storage in possibly wet conditions. Come on, this is the first day of summer, not a time for fogging oil questions ;)

Thanks Don S. I am just looking to upgrade to a larger boat and a potential new boat has been in storage for 2 years. I had some concerns about a boat not being in service for such a long time.

Storing for 2 years should not be an issue IF and I repeat IF the engine was properly winterized which would include a decent job of fogging.Charlie
