Hi,

1994, 88hp SPL Johnson. I am winterizing and have fogging oil can that attachs to the tire stem-like fitting above the carbs. I have never fogged this way before, I have always just shot the oil into the cylinders through the spark holes. Any advice?

That stem has a red attachment on there - in which position should that red piece be, and what does it do anyway?

Thanks!

DBLD

The red lever you are referring to is your manual enrichment. (Your engine does not have a choke)

Attach the can to the schrader valve, fire up the engine and run it until it smoke very heavily or stalls out. Shut it down, you're done.

Thank you!

Should the enrichment lever be in a certain position for this process, or do I just leave it alone? When would I use that lever - just curious?

hello
place the lever in the normal operating position. fog it good and the fogging part is done. make sure you have stabilizer in the gas. good luck and keep posting
