I fog my motor (with 1/4 can) whenever I leave the cottage.
This stuff is mineral oil and non polluting right??
I have seen motors rust up real quick and it makes me feel better knowing I'm not scraping rust off the walls and bearings every time I come up and start it.
Does anyone else do this too? Is it worth the aggravation and the looks from the cottagers?

Re: fogging

Really? My thought was oil is cheap ,bearings ain't.
I am only up there about every 45 days and it sits in the water, does that change things?

Re: fogging

Dj is right about this. The left over oil in the cylinders will keep it lubed for quite a while. And it sounds like you use it fairly often. If it was to sit a few months between use, then I might consider fogging it, but then again, maybe not.
