ok so i was working on the engine today, heres what i found, have spark and plenty of fuel matter of fact i keep getting the plugs wet. fuel is comming out of the exhaust, I guess im asking why would it be flooding and if its not could i have a weak spark and its not burning the fuel. I know i dont know much about outboards but man this one fools me, please can anyone help what sould i be looking for..:confused:

Check your compression first (we always ask everyone to do this to make sure motor has enough compression to run properly).

Check spark with an adjustable spark tester(at any auto parts store). Spark should be able to jump 7/16ths air gap.

If spark is good make sure you have the correct plugs and that are gapped properly.

Report results.

Don't go making wholesale changes in hopes you'll get lucky.

120 on top and 90 on bottom, is it time to find a newer one

Not necessarily. It's possible that you have a bad head gasket. Or possibly have a stuck ring on the 90psi cyl.
You can try to decarb the motor first to see if the alleged stuck ring frees up.

If that doesn't work, I'd replace the head gasket next.

I would doubt that compression is the cause of the wet plugs though. Hopefully, someone will chime in and give better insight.
