Because I have an unnatural thing for my 69 Merc 1250, I got a full color brochure for the 1969 Mercury outboard line off of ebay. It is pretty cool, but interestingly it stated that Direct Charge was introduced on all its outboards in 1969. I have also seen that people say the 1250s were not direct charged, so can anyone confirm or deny accurately that the 1969 Merc 1250 was or was not direct charged, and if not, why would the brochure elude to the fact that it was? I guess I don't care too much if it isn't direct charge, but it would be cool to know that it is. Thanx...
