Hello Jason,

I'm in the beginning stages of a project similar to yours, including transforming my Renken bowrider into a cc. Question: Are you somehow building/molding a new top half for your boat? This isn't my first stringer job, so I'm not too worried about that, but how I can make the d*** top half look decent is driving me nuts. It's got raised areas where the windshield was mounted, and I'd really like to make it look somewhat professional. Any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated. My email address is mgreen12@tampabay.rr.com if you want to contact me that way.

I'd love to answer that question, but I am not at that stage yet. I got my neighbors and we lifted and placed the top back onto the boat, so now I have to go through of reattaching it. I too have to make it look decent. I have already cut out the consoles. I guess you'll know when I know. ;)

Re: For JasonJ

Thanks for the reply... I'm lucky enough to have a good friend who's been a boat builder his entire life (he's 72 now), and I talked with him tonight. He's got some ideas that we'll explore in the next couple of days, and I'll pass on his advice. By the way, your project looks great and I'm hoping I can get mine half as good. You've done a great job so far; you'll have a great boat soon. Thanks again for the response--Mike
