I`ve found that the replacement switch unit by mercruiser may only work with a relay system and not as a actual switch. I`ve started using pressure switches by Standard . part numbers are PS126, and PS127. They use the 1/8 pipe thread
One has 2 switch terninals (copper)and a ground lug (silver)should you wish to carry both the hot and ground for the fuel pump, the other has only 2 switched lugs(copper). If I havent mixed then up PS126 is the 2 lug.
and there cheaper .

Re: For those with electric fuel pumps

The switches that you are referring to, are they they pressure switches for the audible alarm system (low pressure, normally closed to ground) or for the fuel pump power supply circuit (normally open, closed when oil presure builds)?

Thanks,
Keith
