I have a 1995 120 hp Force serial # 0E124577. I recently threw a rod right through the block.
I was wondering if these engines changed significantly in these years, Or if the parts are interchangeable. Basically what I wanted to know is what years do I have to work with here, if I was planning to purchase a used block.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ill probably get slapped for this but I wouldnt
put too much time and money into a Force.
Take the time and money and get yourself the nicest modern name brand motor you can afford.
The Force is an orphan with dwindling parts support and poor resale value. As Ive said
till people could scream NAPA auto parts has
12 pages of Chrysler/Force parts and something like 87 pages of E/J parts back to the early 1950s.

Yeah, I wish a new motor was an option. Maybe next year. I'm kind of on a tight budget. All the electrical is in working order, the crank looks good, and I've got 3 good pistons, just need a block and a new piston. I've come across some older blocks for cheap but wasnt sure if they would work.

I forgot to add, The lower unit is in great shape. The carbs I rebuilt myself last season. It ran great up until this incident. Just seems like a waste to trash it and start over.

I still havent got an answer to my original post.
Check out this link. I found this website that sells blocks and powerheads. boatpartstore com After veiwing the ordering info on this site, I'm assuming the blocks are the same from 1990-2000. Is this a safe assumption???
