I've owned this since it was new on the pro-craft 180 and has run wonderfully, probably no more than 100 hours on it.
Last fall I was running on Lake and bottomed out with the prop, really hard, really messed up the prop.

I changed my spare prop on the water and started it, it barely runs, misses and vibrates badly.

I pulled cowling and everything looks good.

Any suggestion of what could've happened.

Thanks

Re: Force 120, 1997

Welcome to iboats lynnsr.

If you smacked it hard enough, you could have snapped the flywheel key, which would throw the timing off considerably.

The fix is relatively easy, but requires pulling the flywheel, replacing the $6 key, then torquing the flywheel to spec.

If not torqued properly, it will snap again.

Then timing needs to be checked and adjusted, which is a little more involved.

FYI, for 1996 and newer, they increased the flywheel torque value to 125 ft lbs.

Good luck. Happy boating
