my 93 force 120 shut down on me when I backed off the throttle. I can only restart motor with a shot of starter fluid in carb, then dies out so i know its a gas problem. Gas is getting to carb because I loosened the bolt on the bowl and gas poured out. I also removed the fuel line from carb and pumped bulb as gas also shot out. Seems the carb itself is not pushing gas in engine. I used to see a little gas come from carbs when I pumped bulb but it doesnt do that now. I tapped carbs to see if needle or float were stuck but that did nothing. Carbs were just rebuilt and it ran fine for a few weeks but now it has this fuel problem.

Check your compression. If that's OK check your reed valves.

In addition to PNW's list, you also need to clean the idle ports and verify the mixture screw setting to be at least 1 1/8 turn out from lightly seated. Idle RPM in neutral should be around 1100 on muffs and around 750 RPM in gear in water. To clean the idle ports you will need to unscrew the mixture screw out and shoot it with carb cleaner or brake cleaner. Do this on both carbs and then set the mixture screw and idle screw.

Might as well pop that fuel pump cover off and have a look at the diaphram too while you're doing all this work.

Thanks guys. The compression on motor is 140 in all 4. Im gonna try your ideas this weekend! I just got out of my first chemo for a supposedly treatable cancer. Little beat up, I dont know what sucks more, Cancer or having a Force motor on my rig.

Lots of Force fans here.
Maybe you should change it to something more expensive.
They answer those post too.
I found that no matter what you own it's gonna need help sometime.
