force 120 hp Ldrive cuts out at 3000 rpms

My 1990 force l drive starts fine runs good in tne driveway with a flusher, but when i get to the lake it cuts out at 3000 rpm's +or-. Doesn't stall just won't go any faster. Fuel flow is good all cylinders getting spark any sugewsstions?<br /> Ron

Check your linkages. make sure the carbs are opening all the way and make sure the timer base is following the throttle linkage all the way to the sop screw.
