Hello this is my first post on this site, read plenty of excellent stuff but never posted.
I have a 1990 Bayliner 2072 with the Force L drive. I am having an issue currently where when I throttle up say for example to 3000RPM and bring my throttle back to neutral, it takes a good 5-6 seconds for the motor to return to idle. I first thought it was the throttle cable, but after removing the cable from the motor and just by hand moving the linkage, its acting like there is a bind somewhere but I am unable to find where its coming from. I have attached a photo of the linkage, and I also took a video of the linkage that i'm sure I can upload to show you how it sticks. I will GREATLY appreciate any help I can get, I don't really want to take it out on the water having throttle issues.

You can try to lube the towershaft where it sets on the adaptor plate and where it connects at the mid section and
at the top where the bushing is.

Also the trigger needs lube to slide easily.
A can of spray grease( I use white lithium, Walmart)
Use the red spray extender and shoot it up under the flywheel onto the trigger base.
Spray and move the shaft as you add grease.
