I have a 1991 force 120 that came on my 24foot Party barge pontoon, right now WOT is about 5300 rpm max speed is 21mph, this is just with me my wife and 2 boys. Feel like I should be able to get better speed then what I’m getting. Any suggestions on what prop I should switch to? Currently has a 14x13 3 blade aluminum prop.

You are about in the right RPM range for your engine. Maybe 1-200 RPM high.
A prop with lower pitch ..... you will overrev. it
A prop with lager pitch, yes next size is 2 in lager would be one with 15 in pitch.
You maybe get a little more speed and drop RPM at WOT with 2-400 RPM.
Maybe worth a try.

WOT is between 52-5500 rpm's
The 14X 13p You sure it's a 14" ??
Is it an aftermarket? Pics?
I thought the OEM props were 13 1/2 " ?? Might be wrong??

IF?? it is a 14 the next size to get would be a 14X 11p
That would bring up the rpm's and improve the performance and maybe help
with the fuel economy??

Had a 21 ft with twin 85hp with 17p props.
I wanted MORE!!
Got a pair of 19p and got more!!
The speed went up by 2-3mph.
The fuel usage went up MORE!! about 20% more.

The speed is about what your gonna get with a 120
Wanna go faster? get a bigger motor.

Was fishing in Ocean City Maryland's back bays for flounder.
Got passed by a toon doing about 45mph.
He had a 300hp Johnson
They were famous for passing everything but a gas station.

jerryjerry05 Unfortunately don’t have a picture of the prop. But 14x13 is what is stamped on the side. Motor is 91 and bot is a 90 so don’t believe motor is what cane on the boat so unsure what OE would be

That's actually pretty common having a hull that is a year older than the motor. My last boat was a 1993, the motor was a 1994 and it was original. Keep in mind, the latter part of the year, the hull can come out of the molds and get the HIN stamp, while the motor coming off the assembly line gets the "next year" label.

If you're pulling 5200 rpm and you're not going to get a great big increase in speed. End of the day, older pontoons are heavy and difficult to push at speed. What were you hoping for?

emoney was hoping around 28. Would be happy with about 25 atleast. Live around quit a few bigger lakes. Realistically if this is as fast as I may get then would hope for better fuel mileage atleast lol

Remember what Tim Allen said!!
MORE POWER!!
That will get you faster.

Better economy, re-prop to a lower pitch.
OR, get a newer motor the EFI or 4strokers
Changed my twin 88/85's for a 2002 225 EFI
Went from 22-25gal a trip to 14-15 gal a trip.
