I have a 1987 Force 125 hp. After installing new water pump kit, I ran engine with ear muffs. It seems to be working well with spray coming out 2 pee holes and exhast, however I am also getting water "streaming" from the 6 weep holes located next to the 6 bolts that attach the gear case to the leg. I am thinking this should not be happening. The water streams while the motor is running and continies for a minute or so after the engine is shut down. Is this normal or not? If not does any know why?

Normal, these weep holes drain any water that builds up in the motor leg.

You likely have increased water flow from the new impeller, and the pressure from the garden hose.

As long as you are getting water from the 2 holes on the back, then water is circulating thru the powerhead.

If there is no water out the holes, or if the motor gets too hot, shut it down.
Then drop the lower unit and check to make sure the water tube is connected to the pump.

yes, Thank you very much. But I am wondering then how all the water is getting in to the cavity. The impeller pumps water thru the tube into the engine, so if additional water is getting into the leg cavity, how does it get there when I am using earmuffs to supply the water.? Is there some type of bypass that dumps water into the cavity if there is too much flow to the engine?
