Just something I noticed. I have a fairly long are in my lake that I need to raise my motor up -just to be safe. We all know how well the Force 125 LOVE to idle haha.... so it balls up by the time I get to the other end.

Yes- it is running the best a 125 can, all seafoamed and tuned perfectly.

So at around 1500rpms (ballpark) if I gas it any further the motor drops... I assume this is normal but what the heck triggers it???

Is it the actual pushing of the motor that causes this against the hydraulics? or is there a throttle release somewhere I have yet to find? I'd like to if possible be able to gas it a bit higher in the RPM, just because it does ball up a bit idling through.

I know it will to some extend push my prop deeper, but I can handle that.

Any thoughts from the Force Pros?

My 1997 120HP does the same, and I always thought it was designed to avoid over revving the engine. I think it is just over powering the hydraulics, but just guessing here. I solved the idle/tolling issue by putting a 15HP Tohatsu on the boat. Can troll all day, and have a backup to get back to the dock or shore if in a storm.

Thanks for the second experience with this, interesting. I use the force on my bass boat, so i have a trolling motor on the bow I could use as well. But that means I have to get out of my seat....
