Force 125 will not start

I have a 1986 125 Force outboard. The engine has not given me any trouble for years until now. I have a strong spark on all cylinders. Fuel is being pumped to the carbs with no problems. I have 150 psi compression in all pots. When spinning it over it wont fire at all!! When I last had it running it did give a large backfire when switching off but I dont think that will have anything to do with it? <br />Any help would be appreciated before I pull all my hair out!!

I could really do with some help on this guys. I wondered if it could be the timing or the reeds?

Will it not start in the water or on the water hose

It wont even fire once when on the hose.

HI,<br /><br /> Are you sure that you hooked all the spark plug wires back up to the right plug? That can cause it to backfire when cranking.<br /><br />Shane

Check to see f your plugs are wet after cranking.. if dry, your having fuel delivery issues.
