Ok here it goes,My First boat it was a hand me down 88 force 125 .Starts right up on full idle in a large bin of water. I let it warm up for 5 min but as soon as I drop it down towards neutral it dies out ,push it forward in neutral again it runs like a raped ape with great throttle response.Things Ive done to it in the last 3 months are a new water pump, starter, starter cylinoid ,trim pump starting battery.I removed carbies cleaned and soaked in seafoam checked mixture needle and seat no wear or seat grooving. Checked removed floats, needle with the rubber tip inspected and blew out with air looks fine however i did notice that the top carb had the float installed upside down with restricted movement so I think.(The flat part of the float was facing down with seem facing down i turned it right side up with no change in the idle issue).I have spark on all four with a spark tester (grounded) and 140 psi on a four cylinders with holding pressure Testing was done at wot (carbs open) Im stumped, now im aiming at the stator, coil packs or trigger. But theres a nice arc of spark on the tester on all 4.I want to try a linc n sync as the sticky discribes but havent got her in the water yet.
Any thoughts?

Re: force 125

Sounds like a link and sink is in order. After you do that it may run fine.
Its easy to have carb out of sink after a removal of them.

As for the other a comp. Test spark test, link and sink. After that let us know what you find.
Also best to start a new thread on your motor prob.

Sounds like your idle speed is too low. Go ahead and do the link'n sync; you can perform a lot of that at home before you drag the boat to a lake.
