My 1991 150 had about 160lbs of compression
I found a 1992 that has about 120llbs. of compression pretty even in all cylinders. Looking inside, the pistons look to be in very good shape.

Did they drop compression on the 92's??

Re: Force 150 Compression?

Don't think they dropped the compression that much.
They did stop publishing a compression number, and instead gave a range.

Are you using the same compression gauge, and same conditions? (warm engine, throttle wide open, and all sparkplugs out)

Perhaps the motor just needs a thorough decarbing, or needs to be warmed up before testing.

Anything above 120# is healthy for sure.
New, they came with 140 - 155.

Make sure your engine is at normal op temp, then check the compression..

Cold will be higher as mine (120 hp) shows #1-160, #2-170, #3-170, #4-160. cold.
