I'm just about ready to get my boat back on the water this year and had a question about the fuel pump.

The part number I'm seeing in the sierra catalog is 18-7806. Is this the correct kit for my engine (Force 150 1508f9a 1989)?

It looks like a couple of gaskets but no diaphragm.

Just did a rebuild on the carbs, put on a new piranha prop and thought it would be a good idea to take a look at the fuel pump while I'm at it (occationally last year it would just die while running, like every 5-6th trip out).

Thanks again!

Re: Force 150 Fuel Pump Question

I recently purchased the 18-7806 kit from IBOATS. The package says that it fits from 35 through 150 hp engines. MY kit came with a diaphragm, a gasket for it and three gaskets for the valves.

Re: Force 150 Fuel Pump Question

Quick question, does anyone know what size fuel lines are used in the engine between the carbs and fuel pumps?

1/4" or 5/16th I'm guessing for the larger hoses and maybe 3/16th's for the smaller hoses (between carbs)?

I'm at work (have some downtime at the moment) otherwise I'd go take a look.

I replaced all of mine including the line from the gas tank with 5/16. Original were 1/4. 3/8 may also work but the fittings are a bit small for 3/8ths.

Thanks for the reply!

How about the really tiny hose between the carbs there. 3/16ths or something im guessing, i may just reuse it if that stuff is hard to find.

Re: Force 150 Fuel Pump Question

I took a piece to my local NAPA store and they matched it up. Just make sure that the hose is compatible with gasoline.

5/16 was the factory size but 3/8's will work if that's all you can get. Just don't overtighten the clamp on the fuel inlet.

Alcohol resistant hose is a must considering todays E10 ethanol in gasoline that breaks down EVERYTHING.
