I have a '91 Force 150 with a type "C" gear case.
The driveshaft bearing (under water pump) needs to be replaced. There is a retainer above it and a special spanner wrench is needed to remove it.

Can anyone help me identify (or provide a part #) for this tool so I can buy it somewhere?

Thanks!

--Mike

Welcome to Iboats! I can't tell what you mean without a pic, but if its a clip with 2 holes, its a snap ring, and all you need are snap ring pliers-any auto store (2 kinds-extension and compression-you need to compress(tighten the ring and pull out of its groove. If its a spanner nut-also 2 hole or 4-just a small punch and tap it out. But I bet 99 to 1 its a snapring

Thanks Robby,

No, not a snap ring, it is a spanner nut with 4 holes like you said. I've tried to tap it out but that didn't do it.
