Re: force 150 long leg

Hi fenris,

Why would you like to use a Merc. leg or parts ? Parts for Force are still available in new or used. What you need is a short housing assy. with shaft and shift rod.

;)

Smoky

In addition to what smokey said, info such as the exact model and year of your motor is important.

Re: force 150 long leg

ok well i am in victoria, B.C (canada)
and force parts are harder to come by....that is what i would like to get, but if i cannot find it, then i was just wanting to know what else will work.....cause the force legs are merc....i belive it is a 94 or 95.....i can't get the model number off the mounting arm cause i replaced it cause it was cracked, if there is a # anywhere else let me know and i will get it....

Re: force 150 long leg

Sounds like you have a newer one that was made by Merc, after they bought Force. On these Merc made engines, the serial number is used for identifying the year and model.

Serial number should look something like this. Eo123456

Since you have one of the Merc units, I would go to a Merc dealer when he is not to busy. Or email Merc tech support here:

http://www.mercurymarine.com/contactus?proceed=1&outboards=1
