Force 35 horse charging rate

I have a 88, 35 horse Force on my Blue Fin bass boat. The voltage at the battery when running at about half throttle is about 14.3. When running at above half throttle the meter will go to 15.5 to 16 volts. Anyone tell me if this is normal or not. Just purchased this boat, not real sure about charging volts. Any help apreciated. Would like to go fishing this weekend. Thanks!!! Bill

Bill, sounds like charging voltage at WOT is real close.14.5 -15 is typical.Obtain backup reading with multi-meter on next water test to insure volt meter in boat is accurate.Check to insure all battery connections are clean and tight.
