FORCE 40 IMPELLER QUESTION

I HAVE A 92 FORCE 40HP AND WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE OUT THE IMPELLER. DO I NEED TO CHANGE THE IMPELLER OR THE WHOLE WATER PUMP? I GOT THIS MOTOR LAST YEAR USED SO I DON'T KNOW IF IT HAS EVER BEEN CHANGED. ALSO CAN I BUY PARTS ANYWHERE ONLINE.<br /><br />THANKS<br />CRAIG

Just the impeller normally Craig but may have to do the housing also if it shows signs of wear(scoring, grooves). You'll need the gaskets and water line seal also to do the job right. Parts can be found via the Mercury website but I've had more luck dealing with Mastertech( do a search for full address). Get a manuel and follow the steps precisely or intense frontal skull region pain followed by a drainage from the wallet area may occur
