Force 50 Hp Motor Identification

I own a 1989 15 foot Bayliner Capri with a Force 50 hp motor on it. I looked at the label on the transom mount but the model and serial numbers are completely gone from the label. Is there another place on the motor that has some identification? I found a number that was punched into the top of the powerhead but the dealer that i was working with said that it was not a good serial number. I also found a number cast into the block that had a 88 in the middle. Any help that anyone can give wouls surely be appreciated.

Hi: I have the same boat and motor. My motor ID is 507X9B ser#1461, from a sticker on the transom mount (left side as you face the front of the boat. It's an '89 model, B run. Your motor is probably the same. Can you find any numbers similar to these anywhere?

Thanks for the reply. I looked everywhere I could see and I couldn't find any numbers like that.
