Pull the tstat and try it without it. These engines also are very hard to fit a set of muffs on with any assemblance of a good seal, and you may find it nessicary to immerse the foot in a garbage can full of water (as if the boat were afloat).<br />Also, the water it emits will be nothing more than a spraying or sputtering, mixed with exaust, and not a full stream (just in case you were expecting a full stream).<br /> But if the Thermostat is the problem, be sure to replace it, don't just leave it out. The exaust port plate will warp in less than 1 hour operation,or the head will.or both.
