force 70 1991 gearcase

Hey guys...

I need to find out what years/model numbers match my force 70 in order to buy a used gear case (not from a dealer). Is there anyway I can tell just from the model number of the engine if he gives it to me, I don't want to drive 2+ hours only to find it don't fit. My engine is a M# 708A91B S#015936.

If I recall correctly... you can use a gearcase from a 70 or 75 hp, from 1991-1998.

The 1999 gearcase will not work.

Thanks Roscoe...I just found a used parts motor from 1992 and it was the same...fit like a glove.
