Hello everyone,

I have a problem that I hope someone will be able to help me with. I pulled out my boat (bayliner ski) today and started the engine. No problem there, started just fine, but then I noticed that no water was cycling through (coming out the two holes at the top). The pump is obviously not working. My question is what is the easiest approach to getting to the pump? (I am not a mechanic)

Thanks for your help,
Ron

Re: Force 85 HP

WELL IT TIME TO DROP THE LOWER UNIT @ REPLACE THE IMPELLER.THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB IS TO GET THE UNIT BACK UP. THERE ARE 6 BOLT'S AND ONE UNDER THE TAB,SCRIBE A LINE TO REPLACE TAB BEFORE REMOVING IT.SHIFT LINKAGE PIN, RAISE ENGINE THAT IT, UNIT SHOULD DROP DOWN. IMPELLER IS UNDER A STAINLESS HOUSING AND THERE IS A KEY WAY MUST BE REINSTALLED.GREASE HOUSING WITH NEW IMPELLER ALSO NOTE THE DIRECTION OF FIN'S ON OLD IMPELLER.YOU MAY HAVE TO ENGAUGE SHIFT ROD SO YOU CAN TURN THE CENTER SHAFT WITH THE PROP TO REINLINE SPLINE.THAT IT.
