Force 85

I have a 1986 Force 85 and when we hook up the muffs there is no water coming out of the exhaust port. I think the impeller is probly messed up but i havent looked. also, there is a fuel problem. when we run the engine, there is fuel that leaks down into the air intake. I was told that if it has a cooling system problem that the gas can get to hot or even boil and cause the floats to stick. Is this true? Thanks for any help.

There will be no water coming out of the exhaust ports until the thermostats open. This may take a while because it has to get up to operating temperature and at idle it's a slower process.<br /><br />Don't assume the impellers bad until you get it up to temp - even then it could be the thermostats.<br /><br />jim

Mine takes a lot of hose water pressure before I get a flow from the motor. If ther isn't enough the impeller can't push it up.
