That one looked like it has done it´s work and need to be replaced.

If you look close to the vane tips, the tip should have a circle cross section.
Compare with the new when it has arrived.
Change it and it will pump alot more water and you know you have a good impeller installed.

The vanes should be straight out at 90d from the hub.
Those show a set and even though they don't "look that bad"??
It needs to be changed.

While it's off? water hose on the tube from the motor, turn it on and see if the water flows.

Some 9.9s had a thermostat.
Need the model, year and serial#

The early 84-92A shouldn't have one but after 92B there should be one.
It's at the back , bottom of the power head.

Got the impeller in that's good to go still having trouble firing it up points are set timing looks good cleaned the carb would 1.75 turns out sound right to you guys on the carb? It runs for about 2 then cuts out if I assist it with carb cleaner it stays running shut it off and doesn't want to start again sounds good at open throttle it's got to be something simple I'm missing

1,75 turned out sounds a bit to much.
1-1,5 is the factory setting, but I have seen some that need more.

If I understand you right it will not run at lower RPMs.
Is that right?
I think you have some croud in the carb low RPM circuit.
Clean the carb once more time.

Did that nordin turned the carb back In to 1.25 and adjusted my timing mark a little better and it fires up and sat idleing for about 15minutes before I shut it off . I believe I do need a new primer bulb for on the front of the motor though still hard starting cold and I can tell that's not doing anything but she spits water and runs I'm happy for 100$ thank you guys you helped ALOT! Your ever in p.a. let me know beers on me!

The bulb and hard starting shouldn't factor in.
Your choke working correctly?
New plugs?
Too much oil in the system? Usually running at slow speeds and tinkering will allow the oil
to build up and cause harder starting.
Even running/ideling 15min in a barrel won't really burn all the oil off.
Run it like you stole it.
The idle make sure it's set 800 in gear on the water.
Tint tach under 20$ great tool to have in the box.

You are saying the choke is working properly.
How do you confirm that? The butterfly is close all the way.

If the choke is working and the carb is clean and right adjusted, fuel will pour out of the carb front if you have pull the choke and pulling the magnapull starter about 5-10 times.
If fuel do not pour out, there is something wrong with the choke or carb.

Can you discribe your cold start procedure.

Start up procedure is choke out primed up and pull forever the throttle is on start/run. Maybe float would it still run great at mid to top speed tho? When ya open the thing up itran great I think we put about 20-30 miles on it

Have you checked the throttle pick up point as I mention earlier?
If you have removed the carb and clean it the pick up point can be a little bit out of adjustment.

You says you turn the throttle handel to start/run, maybe the throttle butterfly don´t open up enough because of above (throttle pick up).
Does the throttle butterfly open up to horisontal at WOT?
If not then the throttle is to low at start/run.

I will check all that tomorrow and i did set the roller on the mark like you said but I don't see a screw on the left of the carb there's a big on on the right that adjusts the throttle cam? Is that what you mean?

The butterfly doesn't necessarily have to be even when at wide open.
Sometimes they go past level.

Well there's a new chapter to the force story cleaned the carb again this morning actually seemed clean put it on took a little pulling but fired up took it out on the river doesn't run for crap seems almost like one cylinder isn't firing right? Don't understand it ran great 2 weeks ago when I redid the points they were very hogged up what's the chances they corroded again that would cause the symptoms it's doing to right? Not a fun day had to run back home for the Evinrude haha
