This is to let you know that you can have a blown headgasket and still have 150#compression on all three cylinders.
I was out the other day and my port motor started missing. I thought maybe my pack went bad or worse(always thinking the worst).I get back and start testing.I always do a comp test first. It tested 150 all three cyl. I changed plugs and it seemed to run better. There was a small amount of moisture in the bottom cylinder.
I went out and it started missing again. At home again I pulled the head and sure enough the head gasket was bad.
WE went out yesterday and not a problem.Jerry

jerry, when you say the motor was missing, was it missing frequently? ie skipping often during the cycle. mine skips very rarely though, not often at all in fact. not enough for me to think it's a headgasket. i tend to think it's more fuel/ carb related. anyway i hope i'm right & it's nothing to worry about but figured i'd check.

It started good then as I ran it would miss and get water in the cylinder. If your's is intermittent then you might have water in the gas.J
