I have read so many posts I'm all confused. I have a project boat I'm working on with "my 3 son's" (old TV reference) Anyway, it's a 17'deep vee aluminum that I'm turning it into a duck/fishing rig. It has a 1990 force 90hp with zero motor issues. I gutted the entire boat as it needed a new floor and Im currently planning to build up a center console and ditch the side console. The existing side controls work perfectly, but won't work with my intended center console set up. The control cables are the old red ones with the brass knobs/cotter pins at the control connection. This is a budget build so I'm trying to keep my costs down. What top mount binnacle would work with this motor? I see alot of "universal" controls on the web but I would really like to make sure I buy the right one preferably with TT built in as the current one is on the dash all though I could use the dash trim if need be. Doesn't need to have key controls as I'm going to reuse the dash mounted set up...just need the shifting and possibly trim to work. Thanks for your help in advance!

Teleflex or Sea star marine make what you need.
A universal control from a Yam probably won't work.
They use the same cables but the throw might be different?

Thanks Jerry. I looked but too many $$ to end up being wrong. I'm thinking I'm going to mount the side remote I have to the side of the console. It's all homebuilt so I can adjust the design as needed. Just need longer cables and seem readily available.
