Force Engine 85hp

I have a1988 force engine 85hp carbs just rebuilt buy mechanic took boat out ran good until you throttled past 2200 RPM then it quits.Will restart runs good until you pass 22oo RPM.Did this quit a few times same results ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE ....BIGDADDYZEKE:grumpy:

2200 RPM is about the point where the low speed and high speed circuits overlap. It sounds like you may not be getting fuel through the high speed circuit. Check the high speed jet for a partial clog. However, automatically change the fuel pump diaphragm. The pump may simply be not delivering enough fuel. Also check all fuel lines from tank strainer to carbs for partial clogs. You are getting enough fuel to run at partial throttle but not enough to run at full throttle or close to it.
