I have a 1992 150HP Force outboard on a 22ft Bayliner Trophy. When engine has been running for approx. 15min it dies and wont start for another 10 minutes. Ive checked fuel (no water) supply and everything seems ok. It starts ok when cold and all other systems seem ok. Is the problem in the electronics which shuts down after motor heats up or a bad connecter which cuts off after engine reaches normal temps. Grateful for any hlp. Roy from Finland.

Re: Force Engine stalls

Welcome to iboats, Roy. It's impossable to say for sure at this point. It a process of ellimination. Does the bulb lose firmness? If pumped firm again, does the engine start right up?
Take a can of WD40,and spray a three-second blast into each carb throat, and try it..Does the engine sputter,or try to run breifly?
If not, you are safe to assume it's electrical.
Coils, switchboxes, triggers and stators all have coils of wire,and/or small circuit traces inside that, when heated, would expand. If there is a broken wire or circuit path, it could be making cantact when cool. But after warming up, the broken ends seperate, breaking connection. This is common in all things electrical.
I hate these types of failures, because they are a bugger to find the culprit...They check good when cold.
I have used freon spray in the past with great results. I would run the device (I was into tv service), until it failed..Then, i would chill components one-at-a-time, until the device werked again. Intermittant resistors and coils in TV service were a cinch using this meathod. However, I don't know if freon is available these days.
You might try a canister from one of those boat air horns,as I've noticed they get pretty cool from use.
But freon would get so cold, I sometimes had to use a glove while testing!
Good luck, and let us know what u find.
