I have a 90hp force otboard, the tag on mont is unreadable. how do i find out the year?
The reason i am askin is i need to buy a impeller and thermostat for it. Frank from on this forum put the motor on 7 years ago , And as we know Frank has passed away in march of this year. He did work together with his buddy down by his house but i am unsure of his contact info. any help on this wold be greatly appreciated . I think it's a 1989

If you can provide us with a picture of the motor with the cover off, specifically the ignition system, we can probably narrow it down to withing a couple of years.

The 90 started in 1990.
​The best way is to drop the lower unit and check the pump housing.
If there is a stainless insert: F694065 is the part #
No insert:F523065-1 is your part#

The gear housing could be the original or maybe not?
Under the ignition coils and packs on the powerhead is a foundry stamp.
In the center of the stamp is the year.
