My starter on my 1993 Force Outboard burned up. I replaced it and when I turn the ignition key I just hear a clicking sound. It's a 120 Force 4 cylinder.
The first thing I would do is to check the battery for a full charge, and that all connections are clean and tight.

Not knowing circumstances of the starter failure, could it have over taxed the battery?
Second thing is to jumper the fat terminals on the solenoid with a jumper cable and see if it cranks. There's a good chance the solenoid contacts burnt up when you burnt up the starter.
Paul Moir is right. Soliniods are cheap, and cheaply built. You should replace it when you replace a starter.
I replace mine every 2 years just as prevenitive maintenace.
