If it runs well and is in top condition, maybe.<br />Talk em down some, aw heck, offer him $500 cash and see if he takes it.<br /><br />If it was a newer one, with the upgraded ignition, it would be lots better.<br /><br />You can always part it out and get your money out of it. Lower unit and t/t system each go for about $275-$350 on ebay.<br /><br />Make sure you check it out well, or better yet, pay a mechanic $40 to check it out, before you put anymoney down.<br /><br />Have the lower unit, ignition, compression, and charging system checked out.
