'91 force,90 HP,3 cylinder, 2 stroke, inboard.I have asked this question before,I have checked all my terminations and wires.The problem is that when I crank the boat ,SOMETIMES the starter bendix will dis-engage from the flywheel(both have good teeth)The boat runs fine otherwise. The starter is shimmed per the book, the bendix is moving out the correct distance, I thought maybe the bendix spring was wore so I replaced that($35) no luck.Each attempt at starting begins fine,justs pops out and doesn't give the engine enough RPM's to start.(it has a new battery with good charge)Trying not to kick the dog too hard on this one!
