I have a 1988 Force 125HP on a 19 foot bayliner Capri. I took the tilt and trim cylinders apart to replace all the seals and O-rings. I was wondering if anyone knew were I could get the parts I need to rebuild these cylinders and also if anyone could recommend anything else I should do while I have them apart besides just replacing o-rings. Thank you very much, anything you know would be very helpful.

As far as I know, there is no place to buy a rebuild kit. But you can buy individual parts. Start on web link below, scroll thru till you get to the hp, year, and serial number for your motor. Click away. There are nice exploded views to help you identify parts.

http://www.mercruiserparts.com/select_models2.asp?type_id=FORC

thanks, roscoe for your help. I went to the link you provided it helped out alot, but there are a few o-rings not available from that site I guess I will have to look elsewhere for them. Thanks again for the help

If you have a leak down, the pilot check valves in the pump body need seals. Search this forum for seal pn.

Re: Force tilt/trim cylinders

Thank you Clanton for your help, but I just replaced the entire pump body with a new one. So I hope there is no problem there. The tilt cylinder was visibly leaking fluid out of the dust seal on the top. If I bled the system it would work fine for a couple cycles until it sucked in more air, so I am assuming I need to rebuild the cylinders to stop the air from getting into the system. If you have any other information that could help me I could use all the help I can get.
