Fore and Aft slack in Prop???

i purchased a new prop for my early 90's tohatsu m50c. when installed, there is approx. 1/4" of slack, fore and aft. with the nut on, the prop slides back and forth on shaft. what type of part do i need to fill this gap. thrust washer, spacer? thanks, mark

Thicker thrust washer should do the trick...

Check the owners manual for all the hardware required to install the prop. Double check you have the right prop; as different ones are listed for the 50C versus the other 50 models.

If you don't have a manual, go to the Tohatsu web site and down load one.
