So, who is the Einstein that thought it would be a great idea to center justify all text in this forum?

Re: Format

I have been running IE8 forever.

iBoats forum and only iBoats forum is centering all the text.

Tried Compatibility mode ON and OFF. No difference.
Tried Restarting the computer. No Difference.

This started all of a sudden a few hours ago. ~11am EDT.

Re: Format

No problems here using IE8. If I turn on Compatibility mode the whole screen shifts to the right cutting off half of the ads on the right.

Re: Format

I just checked IE8 and it looks fine without compatibility mode, but does center justify with it. Tried 32 and 64 bit, same thing.

Re: Format

I haven't changed anything on my browser for an eternity and this justification just showed up today when I logged on. I don't think it is only related to the compatibility mode or why would it just happen now?

It's terrible BTW. Makes it very difficult to read...

I too am experiencing this, I'm using IE9, and do not recall changing any setttings on the browser, however when I use Chrome to view this forum, all is well.

Try doing a Ctrl + F5, or clearing cache and refreshing page.

The PHPBB css didn't load right on mine this morning. The server it's on might have been down. It's back now and loading correctly.

Didn't do a thing, it's back to normal today. Inquiring minds want to know, is there an explanation for why this happened?

Amazing how much different it is to view with just a change in justification. Glad to see it's back for whatever reason...

There was just a <center> justification tag that didn't get closed on the notice posted yesterday. It has been fixed, and well the notice was removed also, so everything should be working correctly now.

Tony,

Not trying to beat up on you guys, I know how it goes, I run several of these systems, but you really need to double check all of your code before going live with it.

Agree completely, and everything is done this way. We actually have a test forum where everything is done before moving it to the live one. This was a mistake that only caused an issue in IE, me using FireFox and Chrome, I didn't notice the problem until it was brought to my attention here. Lesson learned. Check ALL browsers, and not just the ones I mainly use.
