Hey guys finally sold my 1992 Bayliner with a Force 70 anchor and purchased a 1986 Grady White 240 Offshore with a 2005 225 Evinrude E-TEC, I have been a big IBoats guy for awhile from my floor replacement to a full rebuild everyone was super helpful.

I am having a some trouble locating the after market repair manual for this motor. The model number I have is E225DPXSD, any advice which manual I can use. I had a SELCO book for my force is that my best bet?

Im an engineer so I cant just leave anything alone so I am interested in getting my laptop setup for diagnostics. Is this worth it from a consumer position, what I have read so far is a lot of features are dealer only.

Any tips, advice or warnings you guys can offer are appreciated as fuel injection is a new one for me!

Unless theres a program out now when I looked all you could do with a aftermarket comp program for the etec,s was check on the motor health any adjustments were dealer only.Make sure if you change plugs for any reason index them or your gas usage will suffer and use a good quality oil.Mine is a much smaller motor and other than changing plugs,gear-oil,and fuel filter theres nothing I can or want to do with it.That etec system is way above my pay grade so a manual is really useless.Etec owner group has a really good owners section and bluewater bill really knows his stuff if you have questions or issues.Sorry I meant e-nation.http://community.evinrude.com/t5/Owner-s-Zone/bd-p/TEC
