Found a crack

2005 Tahoe 215 deck boat fish and ski with a mercruiser 4.3mpi alpha/bravo. Took her out for the first time in a couple of years yesterday and the inlet for the bilge pump was leaking filling my bilge area. While I was looking at the house to fix I saw something cracked under/around my oil pan. I cannot tell if this is a support plate for the motor to rest on or part of the oil pan. The engine holds oil and water when running. I had ran her at home on muffs for 25 mins idle/rpms while getting her ready last week. And yesterday we had her out for 30 min before I notice the water intrusion and we pulled her out. That when I used my phone to locate the leaking hose but also found the crack. This is my first time on any thread like this but I will try to attach the pictures I have.
Any idea what this is that is cracked? This is on the starboard side of the motor very bottom. It sure if it is part of the transom housing or motor.
Thank you.

first, welcome aboard

second, there is something taped to the bottom of the oil pan, is that what you are seeing?

however if you are getting water in the bilge, you could have a cracked block

how did you winterize?

Scott thank hit for the reply. I did find where the water is leaking from. My hose for the live well is punctured just inside the transom. That is when I saw whatever this is. I circled the part in questions. It seems to be below or attached to the oil pan and on the right side looks cracked. The middle section is dented in is this is metal/ cast iron. I just do n it know what this is or what it does.
The motor holds water and recirculates fine. Engine temps and oil level all good. So once I fix the live well hose everything should be fine but as I mentioned I saw this when I was diagnosing the water intrusion and just didn’t know what it is and if it’s a problem so I wanted to ask.

You have a 2005, which has a die cast aluminum oil pan. Whatever you have circled is not the oil pan..... might just be a thick coat of paint that is peeled.

what you have circled is something that looks like thick cardboard or plastic taped to the oil pan. you can see the tape in the second pic.

reach under there and pull it off

I put the boat back in storage earlier today but will pull it out this week and see if it is tape. I truly hope it is because then once I fix bilge hose I am back on 100%. I will update the thread once I know for sure.
thank you.
