I thought type C was for electric shift models, this one is a 67 33 horse Super Sea Horse<br /><br />shes a manual shift, NOT electric ...<br /><br />any ideas OMC gurus?<br /><br /> :confused: :confused: :confused:

Type C turned into "Premium Blend", and works fine in a manual as well as "Hi-Vis"/standard 90W stuff. <br /><br />Waiting for this to be booted into J/E Questions... :)

does that mean that I have to get the C or have improvements over the last 36 years (and this is my NEW motor, arrrgh!) made it such that the standard outboard lower unit lube will work? the C seems real thin, wouldnt it be more likely to leak??

Castaway,<br /><br />The type "C" is a very good lubricant. Viscosity means very little.<br /><br />In your case, I would use Hi Vis or 90W.

sounds good to me djohns, thanks for the go ahead, lol, its wierd, I can fix cars and big trucks all day long and not doubt myself ... these danged boat engines devil me to death with doubting my instincts<br /><br />its getting easier tho!
