Many years ago I was flying over the Florida Keys with a friend and we spotted what appeared to be an abandoned boat pulled up in th mangroves on one of the keys. I found it from the water when out in my boat and confirmed that it was abandoned over several months. We liberated the engine. It was an old 35 hp Gale. The boat was trash. Anyway it took a outboart repair course at night at a local vo tech school and used the Gale as my project. I took it down to the last screw and had a ball with it. When I got done it fired up on the 2nd or third pull and what a feeling of satisfaction it was. I had no use for it and sold it for what I had in it plus probably $0.10 per hour for my labor. Fun though!
