Please tell me if I have a problem, and what it might be.

1955 Johnson QD16

2 months ago I started bringing this motor back from 2 yrs of storage. New points, coils, and condensors, rebuilt carb and new impeller. Motor was running pretty good. Performed a decarb last weekend using Deep Creep in the carb method. Everything working fine.

Went fishing Saturday morning. 15 minutes to the fishing hole, 15 minutes back to the boat ramp. Motor ran fine.

Came home and put the motor on it's stand in the garage. 24hrs later I noticed a pretty good size puddle that was obviously dripping from the exhaust port. Looks like fuel/oil mixture with maybe a little lake water and gear lube. Puddle is about 5-6 inches in diameter. Tried to upload a photo, but it's too large.

Please let me know if you have any ideas about what might be wrong.

Thanks

Well, I was certainly hoping to hear that.

I guess it concerned me because I haven't seen a puddle this big in the past. But the motor is running great.

Thanks again.

Great site. Helpful folks.

Maybe if I pay attention I can get smart enough to help someone else. :)
