Re: found something in lower unit??

Need to replace the shutter in my 2005 Merc 3.0. 2 dealers told me that the engine runs warmer than normal without it, and I verified that (about 30-40 degrees). Anyway, does anyone know how / have an easy way to get the rubber boots/ sleeves off the the pipe? They are so thick and heavy/rigid that I cant even budge them even though I got the clamps off. Thanks for the help.
