Four Winns Boats and Johnson 150hp O/B

We are considering buying a 2001 Four Winns Freedom 180 with a 150 HP Johnson Ocean Pro outboard. Both are in excellent condition and I have boats and motors for the past 25 years, but no experience with these lines.If anyone could take the time to share their experiences, either good or bad, I would appreciate it.

Last year I bought a Four Winns 203 Coast Runner with a 200 Johnson Ocean Runner.<br />I love the boat.<br />I'm still working out the bugs with the motor, but besides the idle quality, it runs great.

Just do the normal things wghen looking obver the boat and enngine.<br /><br />Boat,<br /><br />Look for softness in the floor and/or transom.<br /><br />Engine,<br /><br />Make sure compressuion is strong annd even in all six cylinders. 100 psi. plus and with 5-10 psi. of each other.<br /><br />Check condition of lower unit lube.<br /><br />Enjoy!!!
