I don't know about this one, but I've signed up for several free magazine offers that I never expected to get...but they came. Right now I get TV Guide, PC Magazine, and some 4x4 magazine, all for free.

I got free subscriptions (1 year) for Boating Life & Go Boating HERE .<br />The only catch that I've seen is that they start sending you renewal requests after about 2-3 months. I ended up liking both so I renewed. I guess that is how they make thier money.

I received four or five freebies of boating mags by filling out a card at one of the boating shows two years in a row. A few months after the subscriptions started they then bombarded me with renewal notices. I ignored them all. Years later and I am still recieving two of those magazines, the others have stopped. One of those mags sent me a card not long ago stating that because I am a preferred customer, they have extended my subscription. Some preferred customer, I have never given them a dime.

A lot of magazines are quick to give out free trial subscrptions. Of course they hope you renew it for fee but in the mean time it pumps up their circulation numbers and that determines how much businesses are willing to pay for advertising in the particular magazine. That is how they make their money.
