A trusted friend recently helped me when no one else would.
So to return the favor, I gave him one of my outboards .... for free.
I hope he keeps this motor forever, and hope he passes it on to his kids, and their kids. These motors are made to last forever and that's what I love about Johnson / Evinrude .
The motor is a 1976 Johnson 15604A 15 HP . When I got it, it wasn't running . I pulled the flywheel and replaced everything under it . Rebuilt the carb . Rebuilt the recoil. ... She started right up. First pull . All that's left is the water pump and a fresh coat of paint .
Friendships are everything at the end of the day. And I can't thank my friend enough. Money comes and goes, but doesn't really mean anything.
